North Carolina

Located in the foothills of North Carolina, this 9.58-acre project was focused on full-service site preparation for a multi-home development. The property featured steep slopes, dense woodland, and soft clay soil prone to erosion. The challenge was to improve the land while maintaining its natural appeal and stabilizing the terrain for future structures.

Our first step was to clear selective areas for development while preserving tree lines for privacy and natural windbreaks. We employed GPS-guided grading machinery to level key building sites and constructed swales and culverts to manage water flow, preventing runoff and future flooding. Ironwood also designed and built gravel access roads and a temporary staging area for construction crews.

The final product included three level, build-ready home sites, a graded drive connecting them, and strategically maintained tree coverage that enhanced both aesthetics and property value. This project demonstrated our team’s expertise in combining functionality, safety, and natural beauty into a single cohesive site plan.
